In response to the spread of HIV/AIDS, the programme supported the establishment of a national network of HIV infected persons who advocated on HIV/AIDs and lobbied against the stigma and discrimination associated with it. Moreover, service providers were sensitized and their capacities to address the needs of HIV infected individuals were strengthened.
