Book Club Meeting

Being a beautiful sunny day on 9 November 2021 when the book ¨Hamnet¨ by Maggie O´Farrel was discussed, the book club met in person outdoors, at the amphitheater on Little Island in Manhattan on the Hudson River. Following the meeting, the small group adjourned to ¨Dos Caminos¨ for an outdoor lunch in the nearby  Meatpacking District.  Our next book ¨The Last Gift¨ by the winner of the 2021 Nobel Prize in Literature, Abdulrazak Gurnah will be held on Tuesday 11 January 2022.  The Nobel Prize was awarded to the novelist born in Zanzibar and active in England, “for his uncompromising and compassionate penetration of the effects of colonialism and the fate of the refugee in the gulf between cultures and continents.
