The President of the General Assembly met with the Ms. Retno L.P. Marsudi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia, and discussed a wide range of issues related to current global challenges, irregular migration, strengthening peacekeeping operations, counter terrorism and the need to focus on addressing the underlying root causes of the global challenges. The President and the Indonesian Foreign Minister also discussed how regional mechanisms and experiences can provide useful contributions to this effort. They highlighted the importance of keeping the momentum of the 2030 Agenda in the conversations and actions at all levels, to ensure its timely and inclusive implementation.
