H.E. Tijjani Muhammad- Bande, President of the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly held bilateral discussions today with H.E. Ali Ahmadov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan at the Cabinet of Ministers in Baku Azerbaijan.
Both leaders agreed on the need to accelerate progress towards meeting the objectives of the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development and called for more collaboration in areas of eradicating poverty, addressing climate change and promoting quality education.
They underscored the need for the strengthening of regional cooperation and partnership a way of promoting global peace and security. The President of the General Assembly praised Azerbaijan efforts to eradicate poverty through the introduction and implementation Rural Development Agenda policy.
