In accordance with General Assembly resolution 64/13 of 10 November 2009, the President of the General Assembly will convene an informal meeting of the General Assembly in order to observe the annual Nelson Mandela International Day on Wednesday, 21 July 2021, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m., in the General Assembly Hall, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
In keeping with General Assembly decision 75/501 of 18 September 2020 on the format of such meetings, this meeting will feature statements from regional groups, as well as the host country.
