EUPOL COPPS Supports PCP in Code of Conduct Awareness

Ramallah, On Sunday 18th and Monday 19th of January, the Palestinian Civil Police held introduction sessions on Code of Conduct awareness in Tubas, Jenin, Nablus  and Tulkarem. EUPOL COPPS police officers were taking part in this awareness programme by giving feedbacks on their experience with the application of Codes of Conduct in their respective police departments in Europe. They emphasized on the central role played by the code of conduct in defining the rules of behavior and setting the organization of values of the Palestinian Civil Police.

The activities held today and yesterday, are part of a Code of conduct awareness programme addressing Palestinian senior police officers in eleven districts. The project is the result of collaboration between the Research, Planning and Development Administration, Police Security and Discipline Department, Bureau for Grievances and Human Rights, Inspector General Office and UNDP. Future awareness sessions part of this programme will be held in other districts.
