Middle East
- The Palestinian Center for Human Rights published its weekly report on Israeli Human Rights Violations in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (oPt) covering the period 26 November – 02 December 2015.
North America
- On 7 December, the Israel Palestine NGO Working Group hosted a discussion in New York City with the women-led organisation Coalition of Women for Peace.
- The Palestine Center of the Jerusalem Fund will present the screening of four short films in an event entitled “It’s Not Just Documentaries Project: films from the aftermath of the 2014 war in Gaza”, in Washington D.C. on 17 December. Each film addresses a particular aspect of the suffering among civilians and the violations of their rights during and after the 2014 Israeli aggression in Gaza.
- The Palestine Center of the Jerusalem Fund received Ayman Odeh, Member of the Israeli Knesset for a conference on “Palestinian Citizens of Israel Lead toward Justice, Freedom and Equality” in Washington D.C. on 2 December. Video of the conference is available here.
United Nations
- The Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People, in cooperation with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), will convene an International Conference on the Question of Jerusalem in Jakarta, on 14 and 15 December 2015, under the theme “Addressing the present and shaping the future of Jerusalem”.
- On 16 December, the Committee will hold a Civil Society Forum, on the subject of “Civil society action in support of justice in Palestine and ending the occupation”. The speakers from the United Nations, Palestine, Indonesian and regional civil society will inform participants about the key issues of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict (borders, refugees, Jerusalem, water, settlements etc.), the current situation on the ground including the humanitarian hardships and the human rights violations the Palestinians are enduring, and provide civil society with a venue to plan further action in support of Palestinian rights.

- On 2 December, Mr. Nickolay Mladenov, the UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process made a statement on the Dawabsha family case.
- UNESCO organised a seminar with representatives of government and civil society in Ramallah on 1-2 December to lay the ground for the adoption of a Right to Information law in Palestine. The Seminar was organised in cooperation with the Anti-Corruption Commission and the Ministry of Information and attended by the key actors involved in the drafting and promoting of the right to information law, participants reviewed the latest draft of the law and agreed on amendments to bring it further in line with international standards and good practice.
- The International Day of Solidarity with Palestinian People was observed at the UN Headquarters in Geneva on 30 November.
- On 24 November, the United Nations General Assembly adopted five resolutions on:
- A photo exhibit entitled “Palestinian Children: Overcoming Tragedies with Hope, Dreams, Resilience and Dignity” featuring photographs of Palestinian children in Gaza was inaugurated in the public lobby of the UN Secretariat on the evening of 23 November. The exhibition will be shown until 31 December 2015.
- OCHA published its weekly report.
- UNRWA published its Gaza situation report covering the period 24 November – 1 December.
