On Thursday, July 28, the Office of the Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth is co-hosting together with the Permanent Mission of Italy to the UN and Inter Campus a special event at the United Nations on “The Power of Sport to Change the World, Fostering the Sustainable Development Goals.”
The event will host the entire team of F.C. Internazionale to emphasize the importance of sport and its ethic values for sustainable development.
Sport has proven to be an extraordinary tool in promoting peace and integration, as recognized in numerous Resolutions of the General Assembly as well as in the memorandum of understanding signed between the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the United Nations. The contribution of the Olympic movement, to whom Inter Campus is a partner on a local base (CONI), calls to strengthen efforts around sport-based initiatives that encourage social and economic evolution.
