Africa's partnership with China is a long-standing and continues to evolve in the interest of both parties, according to the CEO of an African Union development agency.

Dr Ibrahim Mayaki of the New Partnership for Africa' Development (NEPAD) was speaking at side event of "Africa Week".

Africa Week is a series of high-level discussions and events that take place every year to discuss important issues for the continent.

China has partnered with many African countries in the area of agriculture, infrastructure development and science and technology.
