Online Training Course on the Detection of Terrorists and their Travel Movements - Sierra Leone

The CT Travel Programme completed its second online training course on countering terrorist travel using travel information, including Advance Passenger Information (API) and Passenger Name Record (PNR) to focal points in Sierra Leone. The five-day training covered all aspects of the updated training syllabus, such as threat assessment, international legal framework, operationalization of a PIU, state carrier engagement, goTravel software, and international cooperation. The training course was preceded by a pre-training in January 2021 and a deep-dive assessment from 14 to 18 September 2020 with the Programme and its Partners. After the training course, Sierra Leone will be ready to initiate the implementation of the API and PNR programme in the country.
