73rd General Assembly session (2018)
During the 73rd session of the General Assembly, the following agenda items concerning decolonization were allocated to the Fourth Committee in accordance with the note by the Secretariat dated 24 September 2018 (A/C.4/73/1) and the Fourth Committee held 9 meetings in total (from 2nd to 9th and 28th meetings):
- Item 59: Information from Non-Self-Governing Territories transmitted under Article 73 e of the Charter of the United Nations;
- Item 60: Economic and other activities which affect the interests of the peoples of the Non-Self-Governing Territories;
- Item 61: Implementation of the Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples by the specialized agencies and the international institutions associated with the United Nations;
- Item 62: Offers by Member States of study and training facilities for inhabitants of Non-Self-Governing Territories; and
- Item 63: Implementation of the Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples.
The Fourth Committee submitted the following reports on each agenda item to the plenary of the General Assembly:
- A/73/473 for item 59;
- A/73/474 for item 60;
- A/73/475 for item 61;
- A/73/476 for item 62; and
- A/73/532 for item 63.
