This side-event aims to build momentum towards reaching the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) while celebrating the 30-year anniversary of the ICPD Programme of Action since 1994 and firmly advancing SDG commitments to Maternal and Newborn Health (SDG 3.1) to reduce the global maternal mortality ratio (SDG 3.7) and to ensure universal access to sexual and reproductive health-care services towards the Summit of the Future.
