United Republic of Tanzania graduation status
The United Republic of Tanzania met the graduation criteria for the first time in 2024.
See the CDP's 2024 report here.
Next step: the Committee for Development Policy (CDP) will assess Tanzania again in 2027. If it meets the criteria again, Tanzania could be recommended for graduation. Graduation would be effective after endorsement of the recommendation by ECOSOC and the General Assembly and a preparatory period.
