2023 CDP report to ECOSOC

27 April 2023.  The Committee for Development Policy (CDP)'s 2023 report to the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) has been issued in all six UN languages.  Specifically on LDCs, it contains the conclusions of the CDP's review of the criteria for the identification of LDCs; summarizes the review of the recognition and use of the LDC category by United Nations development system entities; and reports on the results of its now enhanced monitoring exercise of the countries that are graduating or have graduated from the LDC category.  It also addresses issues that are not exclusively related to the LDC category, such as a just transition, the growing external debt crisis, voluntary national reviews (VNRs) and the review of the work of the subsidiary bodies of ECOSOC.
