Report of the Committee for Development Policy's 2022 Plenary meeting now available

The Report of the Committee for Development Policy (E/2022/33, Supplement No. 13) on its 24th plenary session held from 21 to 25 February 2022 is now available as advanced unedited version in English on the Committee's website.  Regarding LDCs, the report addresses the monitoring of countries that are graduating or have graduated from the list of least developed countries and the work of the Committee on developing and implementing an Enhanced Monitoring Mechanism for countries that are graduating or have recently graduated. Furthermore, the CDP reflected on progress of the group of LDCs towards graduation, recommended that priority be given to the elements of the Doha Programme of Action that enable LDCs to expand productive capacities for sustainable development, expressed concern about the impact of COVID-19 on the development of LDCs, and expressed appreciation for the inclusion of an integrated sustainable graduation support facility (iGRAD) in the Doha Programme of Action, among other issues.

The report will be edited and translated into the official languages of the United Nations.
