From the GEF: In good news for adaptation, donors boost support to LDCF and SCCF

In a sign of positive momentum for climate change financing, eight donor governments announced new commitments to the Least Developed Countries Fund (LDCF) and Special Climate Change Fund (SCCF) and signaled their political support for the unique roles these funds play in addressing climate resilience needs.

CBAM: revenues to support LDCs in decarbonisation

17 May 2022.  Today the European Parliament's Committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety adopted the report on the regulation establishing a Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). CBAM is seen as a way of preventing "carbon leakage" - that is, the movement of carbon-emitting industries to other countries - as Europe transitions to a lower-carbon economy.
