LDCs in an "Accord for a Healthier World"

26 May  2022.  Pharmaceutical company Pfizer has launched an initiative called "An Accord for a Healthier World" whereby it has committed to provide its patent-protected medicines and vaccines available in the United States or European Union on a not-for-profit basis to 45 countries of the world's poorest countries and work with local officials to ensure regulatory, infrastructure, capacity and other aspects are addressed to ensure these products to reach those most in need .  Thirty

Reports from the Inter-Agency Task Force on Financing for Development and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change raise the alarm bells on a lost decade for sustainable development and a shrinking window of opportunity to address the devastating impacts of climate change. Transitioning to a green, climate resilient global economy will require the mobilization of unprecedented capital. However, developing countries, notably LDCs and African countries, continue to have the lowest access to affordable finance.
