Membership in the United Nations Academic Impact is open to accredited, degree granting institutions of higher education.
UNAI members are expected to undertake one new activity each year which actively addresses at least one of the ten basic principles of the United Nations Academic Impact or one of the Sustainable Development Goals and report on this activity.
The formal enrollment of academic institutions in the United Nations Academic Impact must be approved by their Chief Executive Officers and processed through the online enrollment form.
Applications are reviewed by the UNAI team which then notifies applicants by email once their request for membership has been considered. Due to the high volume of applications please allow 4 to 6 weeks for review of your application. Please be sure to read and follow the application instructions to prevent delays in the consideration of your application.
Please note that membership in United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) in no way constitutes an endorsement by the United Nations of the member institutions, their activities or services, or their officials or other personnel. Membership in UNAI does not entitle the member institutions to use the United Nations name and/or emblem in connection with their activities except when making factual statements that they are members of the United Nations Academic Impact. Use of the UNAI logo in any way that is contrary to the UNAI Logo Guidelines is strictly prohibited, in particular the commercial use of the UNAI logo, and any such use will be grounds for immediate revocation of membership as well as additional legal action by the United Nations.
