The 2026 United Nations Water Conference, co-hosted by the United Arab Emirates and Senegal, aims to accelerate the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6: Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all. The Conference will take place in the United Arab Emirates from 2–4 December 2026. 

The application for special accreditation is NOW OPEN and will remain available until 23 March 2025. 

This round of special accreditation will be conducted on the Civil Society Platform, one of the latest DGC initiatives designed to streamline engagement processes for civil society organizations.

As the special accreditation period approaches, we encourage your organization to create an account on the Civil Society Platform and submit your special accreditation here.  

Note: If your organization has ECOSOC Consultative Status or is accredited to the previous United Nations Conferences outlined in Resolution A/RES/78/327 (check the consolidated list here), DO NOT APPLY for this ad-hoc Special accreditation. A separate registration portal for conference registration will be available closer to the event date.
