The High-Level Political Forum isn't just about lengthy discussions and workshops in conference rooms—it also makes the UN Bookshop buzz with activity!

Conference attendees and tourists alike are flocking to the store, snatching up gifts ranging from SDG-related books like Frieda Makes a Difference to the adorable UN tiger plush

We chatted with a few UN Bookshop visitors to see what drew them in...

One dedicated volunteer, who regularly attends the High-Level Political Forum, said she always brings her kids to the shop because of the excellent reading material.

"We love the books here. They’re not just educational but also focus on sustainability, which is so important to us," she shared.

A delegate bought a tiger plush toy for his grandson, explaining that it's the mascot of Malaysia. He also picked up several new UN publications, proving that the bookshop caters to both the heart and the mind.

The shop isn’t just for conference-goers. Two parents with their children stopped by simply because they were in town. “We weren’t here for the High-Level Political Forum, but the quality and relevance of the materials caught our eye,” one of them said.

Similarly, a tourist found herself drawn to the bookshop, walking away with a Hello Kitty SDG pin.

These purchases remind us of the UN Bookshop’s unique role during the High-Level Political Forum as a gathering place where people from around the world find something meaningful to take home.

Whether it’s the latest SDG publication or a UN souvenir, the UN Bookshop helps everyone remember the spirit of the High-Level Political Forum long after they arrive back home.
