COMPACT REPORT SHOWS PROGRESS
The Energy Compacts represent the largest global multi stakeholder platform for advancing action on SDG7 and net-zero. As a high-impact initiative, the Energy Compacts drive action on closing energy access gaps, phasing out coal-fired power, and decarbonizing our energy systems, while also growing the economy, creating jobs, and ensuring sustainable development.
This supports the UN Secretary-General’s call to action to governments and the private sector towards implementing the Global Roadmap for Accelerated SDG7 Action in support of the 2030 Agenda and net-zero emissions.
The SDG Summit in September 2023 provides an opportunity to secure the breakthroughs and momentum needed to change course and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
