Mara Cepeda, a multimedia journalist from the Philippines, covers politics, governance, human rights, and women’s rights for the online news website Rappler. Mara is among 17 reporters chosen for the 2021 Asia Journalism Fellowship of the Singapore-based Temasek Foundation and the Institute of Policy Studies of the National University of Singapore’s Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. Regarding the United Nations, Mara is interested in focusing on how the COVID-19 crisis has impacted human rights around the world.
