For the past 60 years, the United Nations in the English and Dutch-speaking Caribbean has provided strategic support and worked in close collaboration with Governments and other development partners to improve the lives and well-being of the people in the Caribbean region.

Relying on its comparative advantages, the UN funds, programmes and agencies bring expertise and work with communities on a wide range of development issues faced by the region such as good governance, food security, poverty reduction, communicable and non-communicable diseases, climate change, environmental protection, gender equality and equity, and economic growth.

The United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UN MSDCF) guides the work of the United Nations System in the Caribbean as it assists Governments achieve regional and national development priorities, and meet internationally agreed commitments, including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
