Workshop on the trade elements of Doha Programme of Action for LDCs
The United Nations Office of the High Representative for LDCs, LLDCs and SIDS (UN-OHRLLS) and the WTO Secretariat, in close partnership with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), are convening a high-level workshop on the Doha Programme of Action for LDCs (DPoA) from 27 to 28 May 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand, alongside the sessions of UNESCAP’s Committee on Trade, Investment, Enterprise and Business Innovation.
This workshop will bring together senior government officials from Asia-Pacific LDCs, key development partners, and leading trade experts to assess progress in implementing the trade-related commitments of the DPoA (2022–2031).
It will serve as a dynamic forum for sharing best practices, identifying emerging trade opportunities, and pinpointing priority areas for support—especially in the rapidly evolving digital trade landscape.
The workshop, held alongside UNESCAP's Committee sessions, will provide a platform for Asia-Pacific LDCs to engage in discussions on trade, investment, enterprise, and business innovation, crucial for their sustainable development.
