Trust Funds Administered by the Division

A number of Trust Funds have been established by the General Assembly which aim to assist States, particularly developing States, in the implementation of the Convention and in their participation in the oceans and the law of the sea related work of the General Assembly.                                   -->    Click on fund names for more information.  

BBNJ Trust Fund

Supporting developing States to attend the meetings of the Intergovernmental Conference on an international legally binding instrument under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea on the conservation and sustainable use of marine biological diversity of areas beyond national jurisdiction

Voluntary trust fund for the purpose of assisting developing countries, in particular the least developed countries, land-locked developing countries and small island developing States, in attending the meetings of the preparatory committee and an intergovernmental conference on the development of an international legally binding instrument under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea on the conservation and sustainable use of marine biological diversity of areas beyond national jurisdiction (Fund Code: M1-32CLA-000012)

Regular Process Trust Fund
